The Joys of Giving

One of the most rewarding things in life is to create a special gift for someone.  God has blessed me with many talents and I try to use them to bless others whenever possible.  When my cousin was pregnant with her daughter, I was so excited about hosting her shower.  She made a special request for a quilt to hang in her daughter's nursery.  In addition to the quilt, I made some personalized rhinestone onesies as well.  I also decided to make a customized tub to place her gifts inside.  Below is a picture of my sweet, baby cousin (one year later) inside the tub.

The Nursery

About two years before I was pregnant with my daughter I found some fabric in a quilt shop that I absolutely loved! I decided to purchase the entire bolt at their annual 50% sale just in case I ever had a little girl. Well, God blessed me with a little girl, so I was able to make her nursery bedding and window treatments. My mom actually helped me make the curtains and the glider cushions. My parents also made the cornices.  Here are a few pictures of the nursery.
