Things have been super hectic! Being a wife, mom, project manager, daughter/sister/friend, and community volunteer does not allow a lot of time for crafting. However, I have been working hard in the crafting department late nights and extremely early mornings (I start my real job every morning at 6:30 am and log off at 6pm). Anyway...My little cousin's 1st birthday is quickly approaching so I volunteered to make party favors. I think the kids will enjoy these little favors (toy trucks with personalized favor tags).

Goodbye Ms. Nikkie
Today is my daughter's last day at a great in-home daycare. I prepared gifts for her little friends and the best childcare provider ever!
Gabby and I made hand print artwork for her friends and Ms. Nikkie. I was actually surprised that Gabby enjoyed the project!
I personalized some crayon banks (from my favorite place-Target) and canvas bags. I also added a book and some color puzzles...I love the dollar section :-) I also embroidered the children's names on colorful aprons.
Finally, I made a quilt for Ms. Nikkie. It has some pictures of Gabs along with some of her major accomplishments (while with Ms. Nikkie).

L is for Lemonade
I can't take credit for this at all, but it's so adorable that I had to share. One of my best friends is an amazing photographer and wanted to do a lemonade stand photo shoot. I hosted a small party at my house last weekend and wanted to share the lemonade stand she built. How cute is this!?!?!

"K" is for ...
It has been a while since I posted. Well, I moved recently and have decided that I HATE MOVING :-) The good thing is that I finally have my own office/craft room/sewing room!!!
One of my best friends is having her second daughter any day now, so I had to make time to create a special gift for her. Although life is hectic, I had so much fun making this gift for someone who means the world to me. Love you Yari!

I made bibs, burp cloths, and washcloths
Of course I had to make a quilt...although her mom is a quilter too ;-)
I ordered personalized onesies for baby and tumbler for mommy
I made double sided receiving blankets and yes, I monogrammed them!!!
I became addicted to my embroidery machine, so I monogrammed the bibs too
Finish touch...vinyl monogram and accents on tub

Allied Organic Farms
My close friends own a beautiful organic farm, and that was the site for my daughter's birthday party. They have a train that attaches to a tractor and allows guest to tour the farm. I decided to make wooden vegetables to place along the trail.

Doc Love
Each year I attempt to make my daughter a quilt to reflect that year's birthday party theme. I was lucky to find a Doc McStuffins panel and decided to practice some of my free motion quilting. I'm in love with this quilt and it was so easy to do!

The Doc Continues
My daughter's birthday party was held at Allied Organic Farms in Hurdle Mills, NC. It was the perfect place for a party. There was a giant Easter Egg hunt, train rides through the woods, bounce house, and visits from the Easter Bunny!
